About

Yasmin is an artist interested in the environment and nature. She graduate from Gray's School of Art at The Robert Gordon University in 2013. She has also achieved a postgraduate Certificate in an MA in Arts, Festival and Cultural Management in 2015 from Queen Margaret University.  Her work focusses on a visual narrative of a poetic pictorial journey that involves the usage of symbolism and the environment.

Trees are portrayed differently in every culture and are an important element of the land through their function and the richness of the resources they provide. Her iconography focuses on the pictorial potential through juxtapositions of trees, animals, symbols and figures, therefore connecting to the environment of a picture, and she aims to visualise her interpretations of specific symbolic elements that connect to herself.
